The Carnivorous Vegan

A human head in a state of internal decomposition — or perhaps growth — built from meat-like organic matter and held within a rigid wire structure. The form suggests a tension between what wants to emerge and what confines it.

This work examines the conflict between ethics and instinct, between the image we project and the impulses we suppress.

The Carnivorous Vegan is not a literal contradiction, but a symbolic one — a metaphor for how contemporary narratives of identity, consumption, and morality coexist with hidden drives.

The piece asks:

Is it what we avoid that defines us?

Or is it what we hide that makes us who we are?

This artwork was selected for the international publication Lürzer’s Archive: 200 Best Digital Artists, recognizing its conceptual impact and digital execution among leading visual creators worldwide.
